Petco Park

Petco Park Address

Petco Park is the home of the San Diego Padres. The open-air ballpark is located in San Diego, California. It opened in 2004, replacing Qualcomm Stadium. Petco Park is located at 19 Tony Gwynn Drive. The stadium seats up to 42,445 fans and has standing room capability to 45,496

Petco Park History

Petco Park is different than many ballparks in Major League Baseball. It incorporates the retro-style red brick and green seats. The stadium is clad in Indian sandstone and stucco, and the 42,445 fixed seats are dark blue. The design is meant to evoke the sandy color of San Diego cliffs and beaches, the blue of the ocean, and the white sails of boats on the nearby bay. It offers a great opportunity to San Diego Padre fans to explore San Diego. It is considered one of the most fan friendly baseball parks in America.

Petco Park is convenient for transportation, located right next to the San Diego Trolley system. Fans in concession stands, in bars, restaurants or wandering the stands can watch the action on 244 high-definition TV monitors and an additional 500 standard-definition TVs. More than 500 computer-controlled speakers throughout the park deliver the sound as a "distributed signal," eliminating the audio delay from a central bank of speakers, such as the system at Qualcomm Stadium.

Petco Park Driving Directions

Petco Park is located at 19 Tony Gwynn Drive in San Diego, California. Driving directions to Petco Park are straightforward and easy to follow. If you are coming from north of San Diego, you’re best options are to take 5 South and exit on Imperial Avenue, or exit 10th Avenue, or take 163 South and then exit on 10th Avenue. If you are coming from east of San Diego, take 94 West to F. St and turn left on 14th Avenue. If you are coming from South of San Diego, take 5 North to B St., and a left on 10th Avenue, or take 5 North and exit on J Street. I would recommend checking the San Diego Traffic Report for accidents, delays, or any other information about the commute.

Parking for sporting events can sometimes be a hassle. At Petco Park, there are many options to accommodate San Diego Padres fans with parking. More than 27,000 parking spaces are located near the ballpark in the downtown area. Petco Park Seating

Petco Park is a beautiful stadium that seats up to 42,500 San Diego Padres fans. Built specifically as a ballpark for the San Diego Padres, the majority of the seats are located from the first base line to the third base line, offering the best sightlines. There are four rows of seating for the great sightlines. There are also premium seating located in left field and right field. While the majority of the seats offer great views of the infield, there are also great seats near the outfield and behind the outfield.
