San Diego Padres Petco Park
By SD Padres Baseball Tickets Staff Writer: R. Murray
San Diego Padres Petco Park:
Petco Park is an open-air ballpark in downtown San Diego, California, USA. Petco Park opened in 2004 because Jack Murphy/Qualcomm Stadium needed to be replaced. Before then, the Padres shared Jack Murphy/Qualcomm Stadium with the San Diego Chargers, which wasn't always the best option. If you didn't catch it, Petco Park is named after the pet supplies retailer Petco, which is based in San Diego (surprise, surprise) and paid for the naming rights.
Petco Park Location:
19 Tony Gwynn Drive in San Diego, California. The stadium is located between 7th and 10th avenues, South of J Street.
Petco Park Facts:
Petco Park has a capacity of 42,302. The fans usually crowd the seats and sell out Petco Park!
