San Diego Padres
By Padres Staff Writer
San Diego Padres Colors and Uniforms
The San Diego Padres have the primary colors of midnight blue, sand, and white. However, they also wear camouflage on Sunday home games at PETCO Park, as San Diego is a location of a United States Military base. They do this to honor the military. The home jerseys are white, the away jerseys are grey, and the alternate jersey is midnight blue. From 1974 to 1984, the Padres wore yellow, burnt orange, and brown. The San Diego Padres have used six different logos and four different color combinations throughout their history.
San Diego Padres Nicknames
The "Swinging Friar" is currently the mascot of the team. He has sometimes been confused with The Famous Chicken of San Diego. The San Diego Padres nicknames include the Pad Squad, The Pads, My Padres, The Friars, and The Fathers.
